Sajjangad Fort

Sajjangad, meaning “Fort of Good People,” is a sacred and historical site about 15 km from Satara city. It is renowned as the final resting place of Sant Ramdas Swami, the spiritual mentor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort offers both a spiritual experience and panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Pilgrims visit throughout the year to seek blessings and participate in daily prayers and charitable meals (Mahaprasad). The fort is also a wonderful trekking spot, combining history, devotion, and natural beauty in one location.
