Kaas Plateau (Kaas Pathar)
Kaas Plateau, also known as the “Valley of Flowers of Maharashtra,” is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site located about 25 km from Satara. Every year, between August and October, the plateau transforms into a breathtaking carpet of colorful wildflowers, with over 850 species of flowering plants blooming across the vast landscape. The area is home to many rare and endemic species, attracting botanists, photographers, and nature lovers from all over India. The cool breeze, rolling meadows, and misty surroundings make it a truly magical experience. Visitors can also enjoy nearby Kaas Lake and viewpoints that overlook the lush Western Ghats.
