Ajinkyatara Fort
Dominating the skyline of Satara, Ajinkyatara Fort stands majestically at about 3,300 feet above sea level. It is one of the seven historic forts that once guarded the Satara region. The fort provides a stunning bird’s-eye view of the entire city and is a popular spot for trekkers and photographers. Built during the Shilahara dynasty and later occupied by various Maratha rulers, Ajinkyatara is rich in historical tales and architectural remnants.
